Exceptional Opportunities in the sales and rental markets...exclusively from Citi Habitats

SoHo

57 Thompson Street, #1C

Recent Price Reduction

$569,000

Welcome to the famed SoHo district, the epicenter of Manhattan's downtown scene.

Rarely, if ever, does an affordable true 1 bedroom with its own approximately 250 SF private garden become available.

This is your unique opportunity to own a pre-war cooperative apartment in one of the best and most popular Manhattan locations on Thompson Street: Adjacent to the famed 60 Thompson Hotel and some of the best restaurants/cafes in the city. Close to all major transportation, fantastic live music venues and clubs.

This unit has great pre-war detail, a marble bath, dish washer and is ready for a designer's eye. This apartment features high ceilings and a great layout perfect as a starter apartment for an individual or couple.

The massive garden awaits your green thumb and is large enough to throw backyard BBQ parties.

This cooperative is well managed and has a reasonable board that allows unlimited subletting after only one year of ownership - a rarity in the Manhattan cooperative world. Pets, co-purchasers, pieds-a-terre, guarantors, all are case by case and considered.

Fantastic opportunity awaits in your dream SoHo garden apartment!

60 seconds with...Jay Heydt

Question:

Given the current economic climate, what advice do you give to clients interested in renting an apartment in Manhattan?

Without doubt it’s an amazing time to rent an apartment.

There are plenty of apartments to choose from, and certain owners may be  willing to pay for your moving expenses or broker fees. Deals that may include one to two months free rent are being given out as well.  You put that all together it’s a no brainer!  Prices have come down as well, giving you an opportunity to get even a larger space for your budget.

One good piece of advice is to ask your agent to look out for the latest price reduction list as certain apartments are being priced 20% below market and wind up renting really fast so be prepared to act quickly!
