GORDON GOLUB
SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTOR

250 Park Avenue S., 11th Fl., New York, NY 10003
O: 212-685-7777

As Senior Managing Director of Citi Habitats, Gordon Golub's main focus is to assist the firm's Managing Directors in increasing revenue and profitability. New training procedures, better management skills, creative business plans, and greater accessibility to new tools and resources are all continually implemented to optimize their business. But at the core of each manager's success - and what Gordon believes to be the key to the company's overall bottom line - is the performance and enthusiasm of the agents. As such, he is constantly striving to help managers help their agents...and encourage them all to reach the pinnacle of excellence in their careers.

In the words of Doug Sundheim, "Leadership is not about putting greatness into others. It's about creating the conditions in which they can find it in themselves." This is not only one of Gordon's favorite quotes; it is his daily mission which, since taking over as Senior Managing Director in April of 2006, he has carried out quite effectively. A valuable force at Citi Habitats since 1994, Gordon, who worked at another brokerage prior to that, was one of the first agents to join the company when it first opened. During his tenure, he quickly became Managing Director of a then-small Upper East Side branch office, which he grew into a top-producing entity for Citi Habitats in combined rental and sales totals. This skilled manager, master salesman and sharp negotiator has proven his leadership acumen time and again, has been involved in some of the firm's most successful transactions, plus has smartly handled every type of challenge and conflict, bringing them all to effective resolution.

Also in his prominent role at Citi Habitats, Gordon has successfully fostered and maintained strong working relationships with Manhattan's leading landlords, management companies and developers. He spearheaded and runs the Landlord Services Division, which benefits landlords and management firms by enabling them to work with a staff of highly-skilled professionals, ensuring that their buildings operate with the lowest possible vacancy rate and highest possible returns. Gordon has also been instrumental in initiating new programs at Citi Habitats, including the very successful Elite Residential Rental Forum, a roundtable discussion that brings together top NYC management companies and developers in an open forum to discuss rental trends and overall market conditions. Furthering his quest for agent education, Gordon is additionally responsible creating the Series 7 Seminars, where hundreds of agents receive advanced training in topics such as negotiating, power goal setting, referral network building, managing skills and time management at the firm's best-in-class training facility.

Gordon is also actively involved in several roles with the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). He enjoys staying ever abreast of the goings on in the city's real estate industry, as much as he does having a positive effect on the managers and agents he oversees. "I love sharing my knowledge and expertise to help managing directors, managers and agents grow their business, and the business of Citi Habitats."

Just as important over the years to Gordon as helping others manage the business side of their lives is helping them find balance in their personal lives as well. An Upper East Side resident with his wife and two children, he devotes just as much time to home and family. Gordon is originally from River Vale, NJ, and holds a BBA in Marketing from George Washington University.

Leadership is not about putting greatness into others. It’s about creating the conditions in which they can find it in themselves. - Doug Sundheim
