Gordon Golub is the Senior Managing Director of Citi Habitats. His principle focus is on assisting the firm’s Managing Directors in achieving increased revenue and profitability by implementing new training procedures, improving time management skills, and increasing accessibility to new tools and resources that will optimize their businesses. Gordon also specializes in creative business plans that maximize profitability for both clients and agents. Additionally, over the past decade, Gordon has been able to foster and maintain great relationships with many of Manhattan’s most prominent landlords and management companies.
Gordon has contributed significantly to the overall success of Citi Habitats during his 13-year tenure with the firm. He started his career as a sales agent and rose quickly to assume the role of Managing Director managing a then small Upper East Side branch office and developing it into an office with over 50 agents that has been the top producing office for Citi Habitats in terms of combined rental and sales totals. He has proven leadership skills and has been involved in some of the firm’s most successful transactions. Gordon could only be described as a skilled negotiator, having closed thousands of rental and sales transactions and having dealt with every kind of objection or conflict to effective resolution.
Gordon maintains close professional relationships with landlords and management companies throughout New York City and as Senior Managing Director has been able to preserve these relationships with his leadership role in Citi Habitats’ Landlord Services Division, which provides landlords and management firms with the benefit of working with a staff of highly skilled professionals to ensure that their buildings are operating with the lowest possible vacancy rate and yielding the highest returns.
Gordon is instrumental in initiating new programs at Citi Habitats. One very successful initiative, The Elite Residential Rental Forum, is a roundtable discussion that brings together some of Manhattan’s leading management companies in an open forum to discuss rental trends and overall market conditions. Gordon is also responsible for the creation of the Series 7 Seminars, where hundreds of agents receive advanced training in topics covering negotiating, power goal setting, referral network building, managing skills and time management at the firm’s best-in-class training facility. Gordon is also actively involved in several roles with the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).
"I am grateful to Citi Habitats for offering me an incredible leadership opportunity and for the recognition of my accomplishments with the company over the years. I enjoy working with the Managing Directors, Managers and agents and sharing my knowledge and expertise to help grow their business and the business of Citi Habitats. This is an exciting time to manage one of the most successful real estate sales and leasing brokerage firms in Manhattan."
For anyone looking to live in Manhattan, Gordon has some sound advice: "Speak to a friend that’s been through the process, and get their feedback on finding a qualified, reputable broker that will provide you with top notch customer service."
Originally from River Vale, NJ, Gordon holds a BBA in Marketing from George Washington University.
